Why Building This Was A Pain In My Ass

Introduction

Hey guys, I have been developing for like 5 years now but building this was a real pain in the ass because first of all, this was a personal project. I rarely get time to work on individual projects amidst all the work that keeps piling up and on top of that I didn't know what I wanted to make and was procrastinating on the design for the past 5-6 months.

The Process

I always knew I wanted to try out NextJS even when I'm more comfortable with ReactJS. And honestly, ever since I've started working with NextJS I don't feel like going back to MERN anymore.

I just love how easy the folder-based structure is, and how easy and comfortable it is to use NextJS. Everything about it just felt so intuitive.

The Design

As I've already mentioned I didn't know what I wanted so I just made this minimalistic website that has everything one might need to know about me.

It's not very complex or anything but I just wanted to try out NextJS and see how it goes. I believe anyone can copy this design using HTML and CSS, they won't even require NextJS for this to work.

Honestly, Next was an overkill for this simple website.
